The Royal Mayfair Golf Club is now hiring for our service team. We are centrally located, minutes from downtown next to Hawrelak Park. We have full time and part time positions available in our fine dining room, lounge and banquet departments. These positions come with flexible hours and work well with students looking to supplement their income as they include evenings and weekends. Benefits are available for full time positions after 3 months. You will be responsible for customer service in a premier private facility. Experience is an asset but not necessary. Assistant Front of House Service Manager (Banquets)

The Assistant FOH Service Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Banquets department and assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures in the Hospitality Department. This position supports other managers on the team and reports to the Director of Hospitality/Executive Chef. Some of the specific responsibilities of this position include assisting the control of operations in the Food & Beverage department by directing daily front of the house (i.e. public space) activities in response to banquet function needs and member dining needs. The individual is also responsible for implementing the appropriate operational procedures such as staff training/management and banquet service delivery. The Assistant FOH Service Manager assists in hiring, delivers staff disciplining and leads training of staff such as servers, banquet bartenders and banquet captains. Financial responsibilities include monitoring, verifying and reporting accounts for front of house operations. Further duties include monitoring inventory (especially with liquor, beer and wine) and ensuring liquor standards are abided. The Assistant FOH Service Manager is expected to handle customer complaints and implement guest recovery in a respectful while effective manner. As a representative of the front of house, this position works with guests to understand and deliver on expectations, balances guest demands by communicating with the kitchen efficiently, and also coordinates with third party vendors to ensure proper banquet delivery. Overall, the Assistant FOH Service Manager ensures that Food & Beverage operations at the Royal Mayfair are delivered effectively and smoothly every day and every time.

Education and required experience:
Post Secondary Diploma
2 years banquet service at a top tier facility preferably in a supervisory position
ProServe Liquor Staff Training Certification
Proficiency in English both verbal and written

Remuneration for this position is $55,000 CAD per annum with standard company benefits after 3 months of employment. This is a full-time / permanent position requiring 40 hours per week and some overtime as required by business levels.
